What is Bowen Therapy?

Bowen Therapy treats the whole body for maximum results with minimal intervention and consists of a series of strategic gentle moves over muscle, ligament, tendon and skin. These moves aim to trigger and disrupt established patterns such as “pain loops”, and stimulate water/chemical flow which in turn can activate the body’s own resources for improved function and wellbeing. Working with the body’s fascia (simply described as the “connective” tissues) there is opportunity to interact with all of the body’s systems. This assists with the treatment of general to chronic physical symptoms and diagnosed medical conditions as well as emotional and stress related concerns.

Bowen Therapy can be utilised in conjunction with other therapies (Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic and Naturopathic) or as a stand-alone treatment.

Bowen Therapy is safe for the whole family from newborns to the elderly, offering rapid and lasting relief from pain and discomfort.
