B.Sc Exercise physiology and human biology,
Clinic Hours :
"Many people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel."
I find it remarkable that nature provides us with so many resources to live a full, healthy and happy life and I am honoured to be able to share my knowledge, skills and experience with my clients to support them in achieving their best health.
I studied human biology and exercise physiology at UWA which gave me a solid academic foundation and desire to learn more about our bodies and how best to achieve optimum health in the most natural way. I went on to complete my Advanced Diploma in Natural Therapies in 2004 and knew I’d found my passion and career. I love my industry and find there is always more to learn, more amazing natural treatments being discovered and more people starting to understand and explore naturopathy for themselves and their families.
My experience has shown me that health truly is more than the absence of disease. It's about always aiming for your maximum state of energy, vitality and happiness. And that's what I strive to achieve for all my clients.
Over my career I’ve supported clients with a broad range of health issues and have had great success in many different fields. One of the areas I’m most passionate about is women’s health and hormones.
From puberty through to menopause, and the roller coaster of the reproductive years in between, I’ve been supporting and educating women to achieve their best health and the results have been remarkable.
Areas I’ve supported women include:
- Infertility, subfertility and natural fertility management
- Irregular and/or painful periods
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
- Poly cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
- Hormonal headaches and bloating ,
- Post-natal depletion and fatigue
- Menopause and associated symptoms such as hot flushes, brain fog, low libido, vaginal dryness, sleep issues, mood imbalances and weight gain
'One of the most rewarding areas of my work is helping people achieve their dream of starting a family. I see couples wanting to prepare their bodies as best they can for a healthy conception, pregnancy, birth and baby. I see numerous couples who are experiencing difficulties falling pregnant naturally. I also see parents going through the emotional and physical challenges of IVF who want to combine scientifically based natural medicine with medical treatment to ensure the best birthing outcome- a healthy baby and a healthy mum.'
Our men are just as important as our women when it comes to fertility. Considerable improvement in sperm quality, quantity and DNA fragmentation can be achieved when given the right environment and scientifically based treatment protocols.
For this reason, it’s ideal to see both partners for fertility care. Initial bookings can be made together or separately. If you are not a couple, you are very welcome too.
Whilst women’s health takes up a large portion of my practice, I’ve also had great success supporting men and women in the following areas:
- Anxiety, stress and mood disorders
- Digestive support including IBS, IBD, bloating and digestive discomfort
- Energy optimisation
- Sleep issues and insomnia
- Weight loss and maintenance
- Immune and auto immune support
- Thyroid irregularities including auto immune thyroid conditions
- Cardiovascular and heart health
- Preventative healthcare
In my working career I've travelled across W.A and Australia learning and consulting. My profession is my passion. Given my time in the industry, I’ve been lucky enough to see my clients through different phases of their lives. From toddlers to teens, single girls to mums, mums through menopause and masters to men!
When I don't have my naturopath hat on, I love to spend time with my husband, baby girl, and extended family and friends. I also love to travel, read, brunch and explore the natural beauty of our state.
