how to diffuse essential oils
If you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, sad or angry, take a moment and simply breathe in the aroma of Peace essential oil directly from your essential oil bottle or use a diffuser.
There are all kinds of peace essential oil diffusers. However, cold water ultrasonic diffusion is considered safe and effective.
Ultrasonic diffusers come in different sizes, and it’s best to follow the manufacturer’s directions.
As a general rule though, you can use the following;
- 100ml diffuser – use 3 to 5 drops of essential oils.
- 150ml diffuser – use 8 to10 drops.
- 500ml diffuser – requires about 15 to 20 drops.
how long you should diffuse for
You don’t need to diffuse peace essential oils all day long. They are powerful.
It’s recommended that you diffuse essential oils for one hour and turn your diffuser off for an hour. Also, make sure you have proper ventilation in the room.
Add 2-4 drops of Peace essential oil to 5ml of jojoba or almond carrier oil and pour into a rollerball bottle.
Stressed, tense, anxious, irritable, or worried – apply to your hands, wrists, inner elbows, temples, forehead, and to the back of your neck.
Sad or depressed – apply over your heart region.
Tense muscles – apply Peace to wherever you hold tension.
Insomnia – apply to your wrists, the back of your neck, behind your ears, the top and bottom of your feet, and your inner ankles. To relax your body further, massage your feet.
To create a massage oil, dilute 1-2ml of Peace essential oil in 100ml of sweet almond oil. If you don’t have a measure – 1ml is equivalent to 20drops of essential oil.
Do not consume essential oils. And if you suffer from allergies, chronicillness, you are pregnant, or you take drug-interactive medications, please check with your health practitioner before using essential oils.

relax with gentle deep breathing
The opposite of stress is relaxation, and you can learn to relax your body with your breath.
When you experience a stress reaction – stop – and for 90 seconds practice gentle deep breathing.
- Close your eyes.
- Open your jaw slightly and drop your shoulders.
- Relax your hands and gently wiggle your toes.
- Gently inhale to the count of four through your nostrils. Hold for four. Gently exhale for four through your nostrils. Hold for four.
Become aware of what’s happening in your body as you breathe deeply and gently into your belly.
Notice anywhere you’re holding tension and consciously let it go each time you exhale. Feel the tension leave your body. Relax.
